Technique: Annealing/Hot Connections/Metalwork/Patina/Wirework. Using UV resin and crushed stone.

Skills and techniques taught: How to use crushed stone and UV resin. Soldering.

Description: In this class you will solder sterling silver wire to a copper bracelet blank which you will cut and form to your wrist. You will then
add your choice of beautiful crushed lab opal or other crushed stones that will be set in UV resin then sanded and polished to a
beautiful shine. Complete the look by oxidizing your bracelet to enhance the beauty of your finished piece. Suitable for a man or woman.

Techniques you will learn: How to use crushed stone and UV resin. Soldering. All tools and equipment will be provided for students’ use so there is nothing additional needed to bring to class! 

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit: $35.00 – This cost is in addition to the class fee and is paid directly to the instructor
Kit includes: Soldering supplies and soldering setup, pliers, cutters, hammers, pickle pot, pickling solution, bench grinder/polisher, torches,
butane, silver wire, copper sheet, crushed stones, UV resin, UV lamps, UV flashlights, various grades of sandpaper. Typed instructions.

Supplies Provided by Instructor: All tools required plus silver solder, crock pot and pickle, soldering boards, butane torches, bench polisher, steel bench blocks, bracelet mandrels, liver of sulphur.

Skills Required: Willingness and ability to use a small butane torch. Good motor skills.

Materials You are Required to Bring: No need to bring anything. Everything needed to complete this project will be provided in class

Students must be at least 17 years old. Tie back long hair. Wear closed toe shoes. Avoid loose, flowing clothing.

Technique: Niobium/Anodizing/Cold Connections

Skills and techniques taught: Anodizing, metalworkings, cold connections, creating findings from sheet & wire

Description: Cut, saw, file, and sand anodized niobium sheet. Make a combination hinge and bail from the niobium and rivet it to your niobium pieces. Hammer texture on the top pieces and punch decorative holes. Bath anodizing gives you a base color. Use our “painting with sandpaper” technique to give your textured piece visual excitement. Rivet your pieces all together. Cute wire dangles complete the look. Then attach your chain and wear.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit: $45 – This cost is in addition to the class fee and is paid directly to the instructor

Kit includes: 2 x 3″ 26 ga. unanodized niobium sheet, 6″ – 18 ga. unanodized niobium wire, 3″ – 16 ga. unanodized niobium wire,
12″ – 20 gauge niobium wire, 18″ aluminum chain, and a 3M sanding pad.

Skills Required: Basic experience with metalsmithing tools

Skills and techniques taught: Students will learn how to rivet, set a cabochon, metal stamping, and patina.

Description: If you always wanted to work with metal but have been intimidated, this is an easy and fun class using an eye cabochon as a focal point. Learn how to rivet, use metal stamps, set a cabochon and patina copper. Choose from a variety of animal or human eyes to create a unique copper pendant.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Skills and techniques taught: Hammering, stamping, shaping, filing and riveting.

Description: Making beautiful jewelry out of discarded metals is so satisfying. We will use recycled copper pipe to make an amazing bracelet. The process of annealing allows you to manipulate the metal which is otherwise impossible. Using a hammer and various dapping tools, you will create texture and get the effect of movement on the surface. More annealing and you will shape the cuff. Learn how to apply liver of sulfur and get an incredible high shine. We will complete the project by riveting the cuff with various embellishments.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit: $20.00 – This cost is in addition to the class fee and is paid directly to the instructor in class
Kit includes: 3 7″ copper pipes, 3 base metal embellishments, 3 ‘floral’ rivets, and 3 simulated pearls.

Skills Required: No fear of a torch.

Instructor Will Bring: Torches, tripods, propane gas cylinders, cordless drill and drill bit, center punch, files, liver of sulfur, brass brush,
punches, dappers, hammers, steel block, glue, bracelet mandrel.

Skills and techniques taught: Soldering. Design. Make argentium balled ear wires. Make a crushed opal focal “cabochon”

Description: I’ve never met a woman who said she had too many earrings! In this class you’ll make 3 pairs of earrings, each using a different
technique:
1. Solder an earring form and make a UV resin “stone” which will be set in a pre-made bezel.
2. Make a stunning wire rose using non-tarnish wire. Add a bead accent.
3. Texture and dome precut sterling silver circles, add beads to balled headpins which you will make from Argentium Sterling Silver wire.
You will also make Argentium ear wires for each of your earrings.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit: $40.00 – This cost is in addition to the class fee and is paid directly to the instructor in class

Kit includes: Sterling silver wire and sheet, beads, argentium wire, non-tarnish wire, UV resin and crushed stones.

Description: In this fun and creative workshop students will be creating unique one of a kind jewelry using originalvintage watch parts. Students will be taught the design and layout of gears, cogs,and wheels with attention to dimension to give the look and feel of motion.We will also cover basic jewelry skills. Each student will leave with two pieces of finished jewelry to add to their collection.
You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit includes: Everything needed to complete project – Vintage watch parts, hardware, embellishments, and findings

Skills Required: Finger dexterity, bring glasses if needed

Materials You are Required to Bring: Apron, Lap towel, Basic jewelry tool kit if they have it consisting of chain nose pliers, round nose pliers, flush cutters. Teacher will also have tools to share if needed.
