Description: The secret to this surprisingly simple project is leather cords and a metal feather braided in together on the round foam disk. It’s a flat Anda leather braid on the round foam disk!

Using leather for the Kumihimo project is a great way to extend your skills and to make some really unique piece. Working with leather is unlike working with soft fabric on the disk although you are using the same technique. In this class, you will experiment with leather cord braiding as well as braid the metal feather into this project. 

Students will learn the Anda Gumi technique, and braid a feather into the flat braid. 

Instructor will provide: glue, ruler, scissors

Description: Explore the spontaneity of torch fired enameling. This is a beginner level class in which students will learn the art of fusing powdered glass to metal using a torch. Each student will learn the preparation of metal, applying of enamel, firing and proper safety. In addition to enameling, the class will teach you how to use a center punch, pliers, and Whitney Roper punch. Using simple yet sophisticated surface design techniques, we will spend the day making multiple pairs of earrings that you can take home with you that very day.

You WILL complete this project in class.

You will be given enough materials to make a ring up to about half an inch wide, It’s perfect for either a man or woman. If you have never tried to fuse sterling silver to sterling silver you will be surprised at how easy it is. This classy ring will become an everyday staple for you in your jewelry box. You will do a small bit of soldering to attach the decorative wire focal piece. Everything you need for this class will be provided to you.

Description: It’s always fun to expand your enameling skills. In this class you will learn how to incorporate Mason Stains with your enamel work and take it to a whole new level. Mason Stains are NOT enamel – they are unleaded pigment that contain no glass. Together we will enamel a copper disc and etch it to create a ‘tooth.’ From there we will draw a design and paint on the stains and seal the stain once cooled. You will then learn how to create a tab setting for your new pendant masterpiece.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit includes: 3 copper disc blanks, 3 patterned German silver discs, jump rings, (3) 17″ (plus 2″ extender) necklaces,

Description: In this class you will solder sterling silver wire to a copper bracelet blank which you will cut and form to your wrist. You will then
add your choice of beautiful crushed lab opal or other crushed stones that will be set in UV resin then sanded and polished to a
beautiful shine. Complete the look by oxidizing your bracelet to enhance the beauty of your finished piece. Suitable for a man or woman.

Techniques you will learn: How to use crushed stone and UV resin. Soldering. All tools and equipment will be provided for students’ use so there is nothing additional needed to bring to class!

Description: I’ve never met a woman who said she had too many earrings! In this class you’ll make 3 pairs of earrings, each using a different
technique:
1. Solder an earring form and make a UV resin “stone” which will be set in a pre-made bezel.
2. Make a stunning wire rose using non-tarnish wire. Add a bead accent.
3. Texture and dome precut sterling silver circles, add beads to balled headpins which you will make from Argentium Sterling Silver wire.
You will also make Argentium ear wires for each of your earrings.

You WILL complete this project in class.
