Skills and techniques taught: Soldering. Make a step bezel. Setting a stone in a step bezel. Forming a sterling silver wire flourish.  

Description: You have no silver sheet to set your stones in? No problem! In this class you’ll learn how to make a step (open back) bezel to capture and set your lovely stones. This technique is one that will expand your stone setting options and offer cost savings to you by eliminating expensive sterling silver sheet. After your bezel has been made you’ll embellish your piece with a flourish of sterlling silver wire. Create your own flourish or use ideas that the instructor will provide. Everything you need for this class will be provided to you. There’s nothing you need to bring to class!  You’ll be provided with everything you need for this project. Wear closed toe shoes, tie back long hair, and don’t wear loose flowing clothing. 

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit: $40.00 – This cost is in addition to the class fee and is paid directly to the instructor in class

Kit includes: Sterling or fine silver bezel wire. Round and square sterling silver wire. Selection of stones, Waxed cotton cord or
stainless steel necklace chain.

Instructor will bring: Soldering supplies and soldering setup, pliers, cutters, hammers, pickle pot, pickling solution, bench grinder/polisher, torches,
butane, silver wire, sterling or fine silver bezel wire, stones. Typed instructions.

Skills Required: Willingness to use a small butane torch.

Skills and techniques taught: How to fuse sterling silver. Soldering.

Description: In this class you will learn how to fuse sterling silver wire to a sterling silver base. You will be given enough materials to make a ring up to about half an inch wide, It’s perfect for either a man or woman. If you have never tried to fuse sterling silver to sterling silver you will be surprised at how easy it is. This classy ring will become an everyday staple for you in your jewelry box. You will do a small bit of soldering to attach the decorative wire focal piece. Everything you need for this class will be provided to you.

Description: Stone setting is an essential technique in jewelry making. In this class you’ll make a bezel for a stone then solder it to a backplate. You will add a decorative wire to surround the bezel and add a silver wire flourish to complete your design. After the piece has been tumbled to a beautiful shine you will set the stone. Everything you need for this class will be provided to you.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit includes: Sterling silver sheet, sterling silver wire, sterling or fine silver bezel wire, stone cabochon, waxed cotton cord or stainless steel necklace Chain.

Skills and techniques taught: How to use crushed stone and UV resin. Soldering.

Description: In this class you will solder sterling silver wire to a copper bracelet blank which you will cut and form to your wrist. You will then
add your choice of beautiful crushed lab opal or other crushed stones that will be set in UV resin then sanded and polished to a
beautiful shine. Complete the look by oxidizing your bracelet to enhance the beauty of your finished piece. Suitable for a man or woman.

Techniques you will learn: How to use crushed stone and UV resin. Soldering. All tools and equipment will be provided for students’ use so there is nothing additional needed to bring to class! 

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit: $35.00 – This cost is in addition to the class fee and is paid directly to the instructor
Kit includes: Soldering supplies and soldering setup, pliers, cutters, hammers, pickle pot, pickling solution, bench grinder/polisher, torches,
butane, silver wire, copper sheet, crushed stones, UV resin, UV lamps, UV flashlights, various grades of sandpaper. Typed instructions.

Supplies Provided by Instructor: All tools required plus silver solder, crock pot and pickle, soldering boards, butane torches, bench polisher, steel bench blocks, bracelet mandrels, liver of sulphur.

Skills Required: Willingness and ability to use a small butane torch. Good motor skills.

Skills and techniques taught: Soldering. Design. Make argentium balled ear wires. Make a crushed opal focal “cabochon”

Description: I’ve never met a woman who said she had too many earrings! In this class you’ll make 3 pairs of earrings, each using a different
technique:
1. Solder an earring form and make a UV resin “stone” which will be set in a pre-made bezel.
2. Make a stunning wire rose using non-tarnish wire. Add a bead accent.
3. Texture and dome precut sterling silver circles, add beads to balled headpins which you will make from Argentium Sterling Silver wire.
You will also make Argentium ear wires for each of your earrings.

You WILL complete this project in class.
