Description:

“Color Explosion” is a very colorful bead embroidery bracelet using Ana Bronze focals, including skulls, faces/masks as options in class. Using bead embroidery stitching and some peyote creating a one of a kind bracelet with colorful components using Czech beads and seed beading. Other components will be included, such as Stiff felt, glue, canvas or leather bracelets and ultrasuede backing, along with a box clasp. A colorful instruction booklet will be included for your inspiration.

You will NOT complete this project in class.

Kit: $100 – This cost is in addition to the class fee paid directly to the instructor in class                                                                                       

Kit includes: All materials for the projects including focals, components, all seed beads, Stiff felt, glue, canvas or leather strap for bracelets  and ultrasuede backing and box clasp, a colorful instruction booklet. Instructor will provide supplies to be shared with other students, like E 6000 glue, some extra needles and fireline black thread 8 lb,

Skills Required: Basic bead embroidery techniques will be helpful; peyote stitching will be a plus

Materials You are Required to Bring: Bead mats, task lamp, needles and thread of your choice, scissors

Sleeping Mermaid

Description:

Sleeping Mermaid is a bead embroidered bracelet with options to create a pendant too; created around a Sheri Mallery Porcelain mermaid as the focal. Using techniques of basic bead embroidery and freeform peyote will be used to create this beautiful piece of jewelry.

You will NOT complete this project in class.

Kit: $100 – This cost is in addition to the class fee paid directly to the instructor in class.
Kit includes:
All materials for the project including a Sheri Mallery Porcelain mermaid as the focal. Each mermaid will have similar colors in pastels for her tail and hair. The cabochons provided will be pre glued including Czech components, shells, semi precious stones and various seed beads. Also included is black stiff felt for stitching, leather backing or painted canvas for the bracelet and a box clasp. Supplies for sharing will include E 6000.

Skills Required: Basic bead embroidery and peyote stitching will be helpful

Materials You are Required to Bring: Bead mats, task lamp, needles and thread of your choice, scissors and a hand tool to pull thread through material. I use short #10-11 needles, Fireline black 6 or 8 lbs

Skills and techniques taught: Soldering. Design. Make fine silver ball embellishments. Make a crushed opal focal “cabochon”

Description:

In this class you’ll learn how to measure for a perfectly fitted ring, add sterling silver wire and fine silver ball embellishments to enhance the crushed lab opal gemstone focal piece.  You’ll make a freeform wire bezel to encapsulate your choice of a wide variety of crushed opal.  Small butane torches will be used to solder all to a sterling silver band.  The ring design and choice of stones will make this a truly unique ring for each student to wear proudly!  Please  arrive early to choose your opal. 

Students must tie back long hair, wear closed toe shoes, and avoid wearing loose flowing clothing

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit: $40.00 – This cost is in addition to the class fee paid directly to the instructor in class

Kit includes: Sterling silver sheet and wire. Fine silver. Crushed lab opal. All tools required plus silver solder, crock pot and pickle, soldering boards, butane torches, bench polisher, bench sander

Skills and techniques taught: Pear shaped bezel, warped square with scalloped edge, odd count peyote

Description:
The Phoenix Pendant is an advanced beading project inspired by the techniques of Contemporary Geometric Beadwork. Students should have some experience with peyote stitch. The class will teach how to make peyote warped squares, scalloped edges, odd count turns and a pear shape bezel with a closed back. Instructions for a twisted herringbone chain are also included, although students may choose to use other chain designs. The pattern is written in step by step format, so the ability to read a peyote graph or word chart is not required.

You will NOT complete this project in class.

Kit: $85.00 – This cost is in addition to the class fee paid directly to the instructor in class
Kit includes: delica beads, seed beads, pear shaped crystal stone, wire guard, lobster clasp.

Skills Required:
Peyote stitch, herringbone stitch and twisted herringbone stitch

Bead Mat, size 10, 11 or 12 beading needle. Beading thread, scissors
