Description: A mandala created in wearable metal form will inspire you as you craft it and when you wear it. You can design your own mandala to saw out or use a provided design. Then cut, file, and sand the mandala to prepare it for anodizing. The backplate adds texture to your mandala and it’s color shows through your piercings. Texture around the edge and use our “painting with sandpaper” technique to accent your texture. Rivets will hold the bail and the two layers together. Then attach your chain and your magical niobium mandala is ready to wear any time your spirit needs a lift

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit includes: 1 x 3″ 26 ga. unanodized niobium sheet, 6″ – 18 ga. unanodized niobium wire, 3″ – 16 ga. unanodized niobium wire, 3M sanding pad, 18″ aluminum chain.

Skills and techniques taught: Students will learn bead embroidery with Hard French Wire, how to add vintage
sequins onto design, finishing edges and embellishing them with mini fringes.

Description: What can tell you more about an ocean than a small pair of earrings featuring a starfish and seashell duo? These earrings are not just fun to wear, they also have tons of personality and can easily be a conversation piece. If you’ve always wanted to try traditional gold work but have been nervous about trying it, here’s your chance to use hard French wire (pearl purl). These earrings also feature unique vintage French sequins, drop beads, size 15 seed beads and size 11 demi round beads. Four colors will be available – with Indicolite, Light Amethyst, Topaz and Crystal cabs.

You Will complete this project in class.

Skills and techniques taught: How to fuse sterling silver. Soldering.

Description: In this class you will learn how to fuse sterling silver wire to a sterling silver base. You will be given enough materials to make a ring up to about half an inch wide, It’s perfect for either a man or woman. If you have never tried to fuse sterling silver to sterling silver you will be surprised at how easy it is. This classy ring will become an everyday staple for you in your jewelry box. You will do a small bit of soldering to attach the decorative wire focal piece. Everything you need for this class will be provided to you. 

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit includes: Sterling silver wire and sheet. Decorative wide wire for focal.

Skills Required: Willingness and ability to use a small butane torch. Good motor skills

Description: Create a niobium quilt block that you can make as a pin or a necklace. Foldform a square and anodize it. Prepare a frame with a niobium pinback or a hidden bail riveted on. You will anodize it and then rivet your quilt block to it. Add a chain and then it’s ready to wear

Description: Cut, saw, file, and sand anodized niobium sheet. Make a combination hinge and bail from the niobium and rivet it to your niobium pieces. Hammer texture on the top pieces and punch decorative holes. Bath anodizing gives you a base color. Use our “painting with sandpaper” technique to give your textured piece visual excitement. Rivet your pieces all together. Cute wire dangles complete the look. Then attach your chain and wear.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit includes: 2 x 3″ 26 ga. unanodized niobium sheet, 6″ – 18 ga. unanodized niobium wire, 3″ – 16 ga. unanodized niobium wire,

Description: If you always wanted to work with metal but have been intimidated, this is an easy and fun class using an eye cabochon as a focal point. Learn how to rivet, use metal stamps, set a cabochon and patina copper. Choose from a variety of animal or human eyes to create a unique copper pendant.

You WILL complete this project in class.

Kit includes: All copper to complete this pendant, jump ring, eye cabochon, rivets, and cabochon cup.
